An electrical engineer by profession, after working on various types
of electronic circuits, DC drives, Analog and Digital, has seen transition of
technology from Schrage Motors, mechanical PIV gear systems of speed control,
eddy current controllers to modern day, microprocessor based Digital Drives. His observations, combined with “hands on” experience, have been
compiled here. Several years of enjoyment through Ham Radio using an home made
Transmitter/Receiver also helped substantially in building up of various
associated skills. These pages will be helpful to those who want to know about
different aspects of industrial DC drives.
The author sincerely thanks all those who have generously shared
valuable information on various technical subjects ranging from Component Data
to Circuit details, over the internet. |
