Does this DC motor need repairs?

Is electronic controller okay ?

In an industrial application of a dc motor, where the motor is normally driven by an electronic thyristor DC drive, it is many a times a difficult decision to start dismantling the motor or dig deeper into the electronic controls to pin point the cause. When the belts driving the load vibrate vigorously, many a times the origin of the cause is in the DC drive ( 4 thyristors fire instead of 6 . Read more about this here.... ). Those who are unaware of the electronic side of the mechanism tend to take a decision of tighetening the belts to reduce the vibrations.

A few points here may help to take correct decision.
